Who we are and what we do…
Jeevan Jyothi Trust is a non-profit Organisation and independent from any political, and/or religious structures. It is funded by private donations or donations from humanitarian organizations following the rules we deem essential for our activity.
Our organization is working in Southern India, in the State of Karnataka. It operates in assisting and providing basic needs to children of poor economic background, abandoned or suffering from a disability.
Our vision is a world where every child, particularly among the most vulnerable, can live with dignity, grow up in a secure environment where his/her protection and his/her well-being are assured, develop his/her physical, mental, moral and spiritual abilities while respecting his/her religious and social beliefs.
Our main aim is to improve every day’s life of affected children notably by :
– developing the autonomy of disabled children, provide them with education and training for transition to employment, and access to health care and re-education.
– supporting poor families of isolated villages through free tuition fees for their children
– fighting against children labor and early marriages through education and awareness of their rights.
